Common problems

THE SHORTCUT DOES NOTHING

Another application probably owns it. Open Settings from the tray, if the shortcut shows SHORTCUT UNAVAILABLE, rebind it to something else. Any combination works.

NOTHING IS HIGHLIGHTED

Recognition runs around the cursor first, so give it a beat on a large display. If the status bar says TEXT DETECTION UNAVAILABLE, the recognition model did not install, re-run npm install.

SCREEN ACCESS REQUIRED

RPCTION could not capture the display. Grant screen capture permission and try again.

THE WRONG THING GETS SELECTED

Press ↑ to widen the selection or ↓ to narrow it, or TAB to a mode that prioritises what you want, TEXT for text, IMAGE for the picture behind it.

OBJECT EXTRACTION LOOKS WRONG

The boundary is inferred, and on a cluttered background it will sometimes decline rather than guess, a dashed outline means low confidence. Widen with ↑ and take the rectangular copy instead.

MOTION SAYS TARGET LOST

The tracker follows through brief occlusion but gives up rather than latch onto something that merely looks similar. Click to pick the target again.

SMALL TEXT IS MISREAD

Raise Processing resolution in Settings. It costs time and buys accuracy on small type.
